Topo Collection
The pieces in the Topo Series are inspired by topographic relief maps. While the maps are of imaginary places, all the same principles of topographic map making apply. The over glazes are chosen to compliment and enhance the map motif.
Styloite Collection
The Styolite Collection is inspired by the wavy patterns that sometimes occur in rocks called styolites. In certain settings rocks exposed to stress create these beautiful and interesting features. While these pieces do not get subjected to pressure, the process of crafting ceramics has a lot of parallels that can be found in the field of geology.
